​​The Regional Investment Roundtable was organized as part of the activities under the Horizon 2020 project FinEERGo-Dom. The aim of the project is to refine and implement guaranteed financing schemes for renewable energy and energy efficiency in deep renovations of buildings.  

​The event took place on 23rd November 2022 in Sofia as well as online via Zoom. The discussion was centred around successful practices, business models and instruments that enable energy efficiency investments in multifamily buildings. Participants of the event were gathered from ten different countries. Representatives of the European Commission and European Investment Bank were also among the attendees. The selected speakers were qualified experts from financial institutions and energy organizations with opinion on the discussed topics.  

​The second session of the roundtable was devoted to available opportunities for cooperation among active Horizon 2020 projects in Bulgaria. During the session, assist. Prof. Dr. Mariya Trifonova presented the objectives of the SHAREs project. She described the Gateway's concept and the step-by-step guide for implementing a business model for collective energy efficiency measures in a multifamily building, which will be published on the national version of the online portal. Finally, she outlined opportunities for synergies between the two Horizon projects, namely SHAREs and FinEERGo-Dom.
