We had an exciting and fruitful kick-off meeting with our Pioneer Circle. After a short introduction to the SHAREs project by the Austrian Energy Agency and the role of the Pioneer Circle by the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Federation, the pioneers introduced themselves with an overview slide. The range of activities of the frontrunners is impressive and the Pioneer Circle will be able to give important impulses to the project.

After a short break, the hurdles for energy communities identified in the first months of the project were added to and discussed. It also became apparent that the current high electricity price on the stock exchange is leading to new challenges for the providers of green electricity products as well.

The results of the kick-off meeting will be discussed in more detail in a second meeting. In addition, the identified tools will also be presented and their practical use discussed. We look forward to it!
