In the framework of Austrian Energy Partnerships AEA, BSERC and SEDA exchanged ideas on the implementation of energy communities in Austria and Bulgaria. 

In Austria, we have quite a few options to share energy. You can benefit from financial incentives when setting up a local energy community (low voltage network) or a regional one (low & medium voltage network). Jointly acting renewables self-consumers and citizen energy communities are further solutions. 

Mariya Trifonova explained how the SHAREs project supports collective actions in Bulgaria. Ivaylo Aleksiev (SEDA) provided insights into the current status of Bulgarian legal framework on energy communities.
