Our colleagues, Angela Holzmann and Marcel Schweitzer (AEA), held a webinar on energy communities in the framework of AEA's Crash Course on Energy & Climate for journalists. They explained the concept of renewable energy communities (RECs) and their benefits. The webinar also dove into legislative basics, the implementation of RECs in Austria, and how they were affected by the energy crisis. Current challenges for energy communities, what their outlook for the future looks like as well as the Austrian Gateway rounded up the comprehensive one-hour webinar (in German).
