See your home from a new perspective – more comfort, lower costs
The event “See Your Home from a New Perspective – More Comfort, Lower Costs” was held as part of the “<Science> to meet you!” series, bringing together experts, institutions, and citizens for an informal discussion in the centre of Sofia on how energy efficiency, building renovation, and new energy consumption models can contribute to more affordable and sustainable housing.
During the event, key topics included the impact of housing conditions and energy costs on social inequalities, as well as practical examples of effective solutions. Discussions also covered energy communities, building renovation, and pathways toward a low-carbon future. Participants shared ideas about the “home of the future” and even demonstrated renewable energy generation using solar power.
The event was open to all citizens and anyone interested in the topic. In this context, the Bulgarian SHAREs Gateway was presented as a central hub providing comprehensive information on how individuals in Bulgaria can establish and manage energy communities. A QR code was displayed throughout both days of the event, allowing participants easy access to the platform and encouraging further engagement.
