The evening of the OurPower Office Opening started with the opening by OurPower board members Ulfert Höhne and Hemma Bieser. In an inspiring video message, Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler also congratulated OurPower on five successful years and highlighted the OurPower marketplace and the opportunities it offers citizens. She emphasised the importance of the expansion of renewable energies for a sustainable energy supply for society.

Next, Hemma Bieser engaged in a dialogue with the founding members. Monika Auer, Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, shared her thoughts on the need for citizen energy and how society has changed over the past five years, which have been characterised by COVID and energy market crisis. Norbert Miesenberger explained why he believes it is important to create and work on a regional level. Ursula Seethaler pointed out that women play an important role in the energy transition.

Finally, the OurPower crew presented innovations as building blocks of the energy transition. Irene Stögerer gave an insight into the energie-teilen.at platform, which was developed as part of the SHAREs project. Theresa Haydn presented the Serve-U app, which teaches communities to adapt their electricity consumption to the supply of wind, water and sun. Natascha Fenz presented the innovations on the OurPower marketplace.
